Dean Ritchie

Podiatrist / Chiropodist

Hi, I’m Dean! I started my podiatry journey at the University of Salford in 2022 and graduated with a first-class honours in 2025, but before that, I spent over a decade working in health and social care—leading teams, managing risks, and making sure people got the best care possible. That experience really shaped how I approach podiatry: with compassion, clarity, and a focus on what matters to ‘you’.

My biggest goal is to make podiatry feel less intimidating and make it more accessible. Whether we’re checking circulation, planning nail surgery, designing orthotics, or discussing dermatology, I want you to understand every step and feel in control of your care. I love breaking things down, answering questions, and seeing that "aha!" moment when things click. Right now, I’m doing a master’s in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University—geeking out over MSK conditions and helping people stay active without pain. Coffee fuels my clinic days (black, no sugar, thanks!), but what really keeps me going is seeing patients leave feeling confident and empowered.

if there’s live music or a good film on, count me in—I’m all about stories

When I’m not thinking about movement, I’m usually wrapped up in something creative. I studied music composition years ago and still love writing when I get the chance. Photography, long walks, and lazy catch-ups with friends or my partner are my happy places.

Oh, and if there’s live music or a good film on, count me in—I’m all about stories, whether they’re told through a lens, a melody, or a great conversation.
