Hi,

I’m Fatema, Audiologist here at Align Healthcare Clinic. My interest in ears started at a young age when someone in my high school class had hearing aids and the assumption that hearing loss only happens to elderly people was eradicated! Before I went to university I went to some private clinics as well as hospitals to shadow other clinicians and see more what the role was about and it was amazing how much there was to learn. After qualifying I’ve worked in the NHS, private sector and I’ve done some domicilliary work as well.

The thing I enjoy the most about my job is how I can make such a big difference to peoples quality of life. The feeling when someone gets to hear others after not being able to hear for so long is incomparable. I also enjoy getting to know my patients - I feel that’s actually a joint best!

I recently got back to work after my maternity leave and have been enjoying it and didn’t realise how much I missed human interaction! Although I absolutely love spending time with my little one who is a mini me. I spend most of my free time with my family and friends. You’ll find me at coffee shops with an almond croissant! I enjoy going to the gym & going on long walks. I love travelling too!
